Your clinical records are stored securely in our practice management system, which is password protected and accessible only to authorised staff. Physical records (where applicable) are stored in locked filing systems within the clinic.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Our website uses HTTPS encryption (SSL) to protect any data transmitted through our site.
We retain your clinical records for a minimum of 7 years from the date of your last consultation (or until age 25 for patients who were minors), in accordance with Victorian health records legislation.
Who We Share Your Information With
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
We may share your information only in the following circumstances:
- With other healthcare providers involved in your care (e.g. your GP, specialist, or allied health provider) with your knowledge or consent
- With your private health fund for the purpose of processing claims
- With government or regulatory bodies where required by law (e.g. AHPRA, Medicare, WorkCover)
- With our software and service providers who help us operate the practice (e.g. practice management software, booking platform) — these providers are contractually required to protect your information
